In addition to the cars, engines, models and other objects permanently exhibited in its halls, the Museo Storico Alfa Romeo includes a wider collection displayed in dedicated rooms. The cars, which are regularly subjected to maintenance in the Museum's internal workshop and put in motion on a dedicated track completed in 2015, are divided into 16 areas that explore as many topics: from the Origins to Grand Prix, from Prototypes to Grandturismos and 4x4s, Sportscars and sectioned models. Engines, mechanical parts and technical instruments are exhibited next to the cars. Furthermore, the Museum still stores the installation equipment designed by Vito and Gustavo Latis for its original opening in 1976. A significant part of the collection is constituted by the scale models from the Alfa Romeo Style Centre and the large collection of trophies that are the result of Alfa Romeo's frequent victories in the races, as well as the complete collection of sculptures entitled "Alfa Romeo ai suoi piloti" (Alfa Romeo to its drivers). The Alfa Romeo Documentation Centre is the brand's historical archive, and includes documents, images and materials covering a total surface of 6000 linear meters
