The Alfa Romeo Museum, the Don Carlo Gnocchi Foundation and the Alpini Group of Arese “Peppino Prisco” are organizing an event on Sunday, September 22nd, to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the transatlantic flight completed in 1949 by pilots Manuer Lualdi and Leonardo Bonzi in an Ambrosini SAI 1001 “Angelo dei bimbi” airplane, powered by an Alfa Romeo engine, with the mission of raising funds for Don Gnocchi’s Mutilatini initiative.

It’s only fitting that the celebration takes place at the Arese Museum, where the airplane is preserved.

Starting at 4:30 p.m. in the Sala Giulia, the event will open with a historical introduction by the museum's curator, Lorenzo Ardizio. This will be followed by the performance "Three Great Men and a Small Airplane," a story written by Lionello Turrini and brought to life by actresses Silvia Mercoli, Monica Falletti, and Antonella Falchi.

During the event, the ANA Choir of Limbiate, conducted by Maestro Osvaldo Carrara, will perform a selection of musical pieces.
